Puerto Sunset

I'm looking forward to a nice 3 day break. This photo was taken w/ the camera set on auto, laden on a batik blanket against the moist sands of puerto gallera.. Actually, one of my favorites, a picture of me and Donna. :) A weekend getaway just a few hours from Manila, you can have a handful of cherishable and life-lasting moments...

McDonald's Landing

Yesterday marked the 60th Leyte Landing anniversary, the event where supposedly Gen. Douglas MacArthur saved us from the Japs. I only had time to go around the city at night and take some shots.

A couple of night shots; the left one is the newly erected marvelous and giant Crucifix along the tacloban boulevard; the right one is the walkway to a restaurant/port along the bay.

I'm still sick, and my back aches for so long. Darn, signs of age, and i'm only turning 25! it's come to collect, the 1st quarter credits for 1st quarter crisis. Welcome. Silver Jubilee!

Py in the skie

I just came from Tacloban, and it feels the same way every time I leave. Leaving for school in college, and work for the past 3 years. On board the airplane, when I look out of that window, there's my pie from the sky...

My hometown, the northern tip of Leyte.

Isko ng Bayan uli...

Nothing to do, I try to explore i try to capture one campus afternoon...

I remember the agonizing walks to the Vanguard building to report for ROTC training..
ahh... but this one's a bit refreshing..

a lonely pine tree against a fine landmark in the vicinity of the track oval.

i could have shot this better, but experience just seems to get the best of me, i hope i could make a better shot next time, i call this one "the free tree"

This pathway didn't exist when I was still a freshman. I remember how hard school was for me back then. whew, people always find a better a way...

Tomorrow the world...

A magnificent tree. hmm.. poems are made by fools like me...

Here's what i call "A branch on a tree", teehee..

The clocktower, a plaything for the College of Music students, once in a while, you'll hear the latest catchy song on the airwaves played on this clock tower.

Sims 2

"Remember even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat", one my high school friends used to remind me.

An insight probably born or taken from his recommended Rich Dad, Poor Dad book, which I found to be a good book for thinking out of the box. The unorthodox (read: not the way you're taught to think) path to getting rich, it's not just the school, the books, the degree that gets you ahead, it's the vicousness, the streetsmart, the fearless attitude.

When I played the original Sims game, me and my roommates had this kind of competition to be the richest sim, w/ the biggest house, and the most beautiful wife.. harhar. I'd spend hapless nights micromanaging my sim to make sure all the skills were maxed out really fast. The workhours to workpay ratio was a big thing, since job salary equated to maxed out skills. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you are probably not a gamer, or you are probably from another simtown! Hello! The Sims is just the highest grossing pc franchise w/ 7 expansion games. Will Wright is probably feasting on his greatest sim game ever! The franchise will earn him millions for the next decade or so..

Now somewhere, here, ... I was supposed to come up w/ a point or two.
Oh yeah, The Sims, now there's the Sims 2, completely revamped playing modes, full 3d, and a great load of features. This time around, I really don't have the same competitive roommates, but I do notice I'm still obsessed at becoming the superhuman with maxed out skills and at reaching the top level of a sim career, whoah stop!

. . . this is just a ratrace. =)

but it sure does feel good winning one!!
hell yeah!
